If you are worried about someone knowing you have visited this website please read the following safety information and to take steps to increase your safety when visiting this website.

As a rule, internet browsers will save certain information as you surf the internet. This includes images from websites visited, information entered into search engines and a trail (‘history’) that reveals the sites you have visited. Please follow the instructions below to minimise the chances of someone finding out that you have visited this website.

If you know what browser you are using, then skip to the relevant instructions below. If you do not know the type of browser you are using, click on Help on the toolbar at the top of the browser screen. A drop down menu will appear, the last entry will say About Internet Explorer, About Mozilla Firefox, or something similar. The entry refers to which browser type you are using – you should then refer to the relevant instructions below.

To delete your browsing history in Internet Explorer 7

  1. Open Internet Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, and then clicking Internet Options.

  2. Click the General tab, and then, under Browsing history, click Delete.

  3. Under History, click Delete history, and then click Yes to confirm that you want to delete the history.

  4. Click Close, and then click OK.

To delete all or some of your browsing history in Internet Explorer 8

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.

  2. Click the Safety button, and then click Delete Browsing History.

  3. If you do not want to delete the cookies and files associated with websites in your Favorites list, select the Preserve Favorites website data check box.

  4. Select the check box next to each category of information you want to delete.

  5. Click Delete.

To delete all or some of your browsing history in Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

  2. Click the Tools button, point to Safety, and then click Delete browsing history. If you don’t want to delete the cookies and files associated with websites in your favorites list, select the Preserve Favorites website data check box.
  3. Select the check box next to each category of information you want to delete.

  4. Click Delete.

To delete all or some of your browsing history in Internet Explorer for Mobile Devices

  1. In Internet Explorer, tap MoreMore icon > Recent to see the sites you’ve visited.

  2. To erase your history, tap Delete Delete icon > Delete.

Chrome

 

Computer

  1. In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu. Chrome menu
  2. Click History and recent tabs > History.
  3. Click the button Clear browsing data. A dialogue will appear.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select how much history you want to delete. To clear your entire browsing history, select the beginning of time.
  5. Tick the boxes for the data that you want Chrome to clear, including “browsing history”. Learn more about the types of browsing data that you can delete
  6. Click the button Clear browsing data.

 

Android device

  1. Open the Chrome menu.
    It could be an icon or a button. They look like this More or Menu.
  2. Touch History.
  3. At the bottom, touch Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Tick the box Clear browsing history. It may be ticked by default.
  5. Untick any other boxes that you don’t want to delete.
  6. Touch Clear.

 

  1. Open the Chrome menu Chrome menu.
  2. Touch History.
  3. At the bottom, touch Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Touch Clear Browsing History.
  5. Confirm your choice.
  6. Touch Done.

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button, choose History, and then Clear Recent History….
    • Next, click the arrow next to Details to select exactly what information will get cleared.
      • Click the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear to choose how much of your history Firefox will clear.Select how much history you want to clear:
  2. Finally, click the Clear Now button. The window will close and the items you’ve selected will be cleared.

 

Clearing Firefox History on Mobile Devices

  1. Tap ‘Menu’ (on some devices this is along the bottom edge of the device, on others it is a software menu on the top right)
  2. Tap ‘Settings’ (on some devices you may have to tap ‘More’ first)
  3. Tap ‘Privacy’
  4. Tap ‘Clear private data’
  5. To delete history, check ‘Browsing & download history’. Uncheck anything you don’t want deleted.
  6. Tap ‘Clear data’ to clear what you checked in the previous step.

Safari

You can remove all records that Safari keeps of where you’ve browsed during a period of time you choose. If your Mac and your kept independently by websites you visited.

Choose History > Clear History, click the pop-up menu, then choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared.

Clearing Safari History on a Mobile Device

To clear your history and cookies from Safari in iOS 8 or later, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Clear History and tap Clear Cookies and Data.
